your presence i seek beyond my thoughts
acknowledging your being, and i struggleto connect also with your becoming
that is part of my own biography!
in my pain i see your pain; and in my joys
i enjoy your joys discerning and discoveringyour faint presence wrapped up tightly
in my feeble presence that is spat upon
and trampled under the feet of those tall stout
and short and slim, the so-called electedmembers of today’s Dunvegan Sanhedrin
and i, now, wait for your risen presence
with patience and a new spirit of inquiry to walk
ahead beyond Golgotha into Emmaus to breakbread with Jesus for my heart to glow and feel
a warmth as my tongue announces your presence!
